Park Avenue Viaduct – Phase I
Harlem, New York

Figure 1 – Park Avenue Viaduct, Cantos Inc. Field Visit
Cantos Inc. Scope of Services: This project comprises of replacing the railroad viaduct along Park Avenue in Harlem, New York City. The viaduct is an elevated steel structure that spans from Bent 21 to Bent 53, between the north side of East 115th Street and the south side of East 123rd Street. This section of the viaduct carries four tracks powered by a third rail and is crucial for trains from the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines to access Grand Central Terminal.
Cantos Inc. was responsible for performing LiDAR Scanning, assisting in producing architectural drawings, and performing utility coordination for the structural team. We performed a LiDAR scan at the street and track levels for the existing viaduct documentation and visualization. The design team can therefore easily picture the as-built conditions through these walkthroughs and identify potential risks.
