Flushing Line DB

Queens, NY

Cantos Inc. Scope of Services: Cantos Inc. played a key role in enhancing the Flushing MTA line in Queens, NY, through a series of critical infrastructure improvement, including track bed restoration, track support structure repairs, reconstruction of platforms, and structural repairs throughout the 61st Street-Woodside Station. It also involved replacing escalators at 61st Street-Woodside and 74th Street-Broadway stations and repairs along the line between 48th Street and 72nd Street in Queens.

Our scope of work included:

  • Scan to BIM Services: 3D Mobile Scanning for the entire scope of work.  Using the Point Cloud Data, we converted the drawings into Revit BIM and to OpenBuildings Designer (OBD) for finals clients’ use.
  • Inspection: Performed detailed inspections of existing structures to evaluate current conditions and identify necessary repairs.
  • Electrical SOW for the 74th Street Broadway Station, which includes three staircases.
  • Contract Drawings Preparation: This includes setting up drawings, revising existing drawings to conform to MTA standards, and preparing new plans, elevations, sections, and details for various stations.  Most of our work was done using ProjectWise (PW) database, and drawings were drafted on MicroStation Connect Edition.
