Cantos Inc. Scope of Services: As part of a cutting-edge reality capture initiative, Cantos Inc. lead the data registration, colorization, and processing of high-resolution scans using Register 360 and EdgeWise software. This advanced reality capture initiative aimed to deliver precise and detailed 3D models of NYC Penn Station and its surroundings – supporting future planning and development. After opening its doors in late 2020, this project won the ACEC New York 2022 Engineering Award in Transportation.

Cantos Inc. captured detail scans of key areas including:

  • Madison Square Garden Plaza adjacent to the 8th Avenue sidewalks.
  • Moynihan Plaza, both north and south of the monumental stairs.
  • Additional significant spaces within and around the facility.

 

This comprehensive scanning effort ensures that every aspect of the site is accurately documented, facilitating precise data analysis and model creation.
